About Us
Founded by George and Maria Pry, inspired by their family's history and a desire to honor local veterans with an all-expenses-paid trip for western Pennsylvania veterans who served during World War II, Korean, and Vietnam War eras, to visit Washington D.C. war memorials. The first Mission in October 2016 was with eight veterans.
Our vision is to ensure every veteran is honored for their service.
Honor Flight Pittsburgh recognizes our American veterans for their sacrifices and achievements by transporting them via deluxe motor coach to Washington, D.C. to visit those memorials dedicated to honor their service and sacrifices.

Testimonials
One of the best days of my life. Your team did an amazing job. I will never forget it. Thank you.
A huge “Thank You” to ALL who, in any way, participated in Honor Flight Pittsburgh. My husband wasn’t sure about going but ended up having a wonderful trip. A man who is usually quiet, he is still marveling at all the veterans he spoke with, and the scope of the different conversations. Honor Flight Pittsburgh is a class act all the way. THANK YOU for this remarkable experience.
This was one of the most memorable experiences of my life.
Thank you to the entire Honor Flight Pittsburgh staff and volunteers. The experience was beyond my expectations.
My dad and I both had an amazing day. My dad was in the Navy during the Vietnam War. He has always told me that people were waiting on the pier when they got off the ship so that they could spit on them and the other sailors. My dad said yesterday was the first day people thanked him and welcomed him home. Thank you for creating this wonderful moment for my father.
Thank you and all the amazing people who put the Honor Flight Pittsburgh trip together. It was an extraordinary experience from start to finish.
Thank you to Honor Flight Pittsburgh for giving back to our precious, well deserved, veterans. My father was overwhelmed with appreciation in so many ways and is still talking about it, saying, “I can’t believe how nice all those veterans were, all the monument stops, the giving and support and enthusiasm”.
It was a profound privilege to serve our Veterans on the Honor Flight trip. The experience was truly unforgettable, yielding lifelong friendships that would not have been possible without this Mission. I extend my gratitude to Honor Flight Pittsburgh for their meticulous planning and execution of the trip. The significance of this experience for the Veterans was very evident.
Never have I experienced such gratitude for my military service. The entire trip was filled with unexpected events and gracious greetings by all people we encountered. The guides, staff, escorts and nurses contributed to a great day.
Thank you, Honor Flight Pittsburgh. The trip is a highlight of my life. I am glad for the experience.
